Our training center offers three comprehensive programs to meet your needs:

  • CDL Automatic Transmission Course — limits you to operating commercial vehicles with automatic transmissions only.
  • CDL Manual Transmission Course — allows you to drive vehicles with any transmission type (manual or automatic).
  • Hourly Course — designed for professional drivers looking to upgrade from automatic to manual transmission or renew their CDL.

Note: Completing the automatic transmission course will restrict your CDL to automatic vehicles only. Finishing the manual transmission course gives you the flexibility to operate any type of transmission.

Your training at Start CDL Training is structured into seven clear stages:

DMV Examination: Complete your training with the official exam — the final step toward earning your CDL.

Backing: Practice backing maneuvers to improve precision.

Pre-Test: Take an internal exam to ensure you’re fully prepared for the final test.
